The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) legislation introduced new responsibilities for businesses and other non-household users of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE). This includes schools, hospitals, and government agencies, when they dispose of their electrical waste. These organisations will need to ensure that all separately collected WEEE is treated and recycled. That is where Willow Environmental can help. Willow specialise in the separate collection , treatment and recycling of all WEEE. Another example is that Fridges and freezers are now classified as Hazardous Waste and require treatment in accordance with Hazardous Waste Regulations 2005. In addition, Under Duty of Care Regulations 1996, fridges are transported to a fully licensed plant capable of recovering Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS) from the cooling circuit and the insulating foam. Monitors and TV's, fluorescent lamps etc. are hazardous waste and again the expertise of Willow Environmental can help.
